Andrew W. Siegel grew up in Great Neck, New York and graduated High School in 1981. He was very involved in athletics playing Varsity soccer and lacrosse. Of note he was the most valuable player of his lacrosse team as a senior and set a school record. He went on to Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated cum laude in 1985. During college he spent his junior year schooling overseas in London, England. He also was the Captain of the Tulane Lacrosse Team which won the First Southwest Championship of Lacrosse. He went on to Brooklyn Law School and graduated in 1988. He worked his way through law school at a medical malpractice defense firm and it was this experience that caused him to decide that his place in the legal community would be on the side of the injured person. In furtherance of this aspiration he began his legal career working for a sole practitioner who specialized in the field of medical malpractice. His mentor was considered one of the top malpractice attorneys in the country as published by Medical Economics Magazine. Mr. Siegel tried his first jury case the day after he was admitted to the bar and has basically been in the court room ever since. In 1995, Andrew Siegel left to start his own practice and partnered up with Richard Geller, a law school friend. Since the formation of Geller & Siegel, Andrew Siegel has been the senior litigating partner in the firm. He has tried to jury verdict multiple cases in his devoted and passionate manner in efforts to get his clients fairly compensated for their life altering and permanent injuries. Mr. Siegel understands and appreciates that to be a successful litigator each trial requires full devotion and dedication of time and emotion to the client. It has been this formula together with his passion for all things medical that has made him such a success in the courtroom. A jury recently awarded $43,000,000.00 to a brain damage client of his as compensation for her pain and suffering. It should be noted that no money was offered by the insurance company which made this result especially significant. It is only one of numerous jury verdicts that have eclipsed the million dollar mark. Currently, Mr. Siegel is on the Board of Directors of the Medical Malpractice Task Force of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Siegel lives with his wife, three children, three dogs and two cats in upper Westchester, New York.
