Andrew W. Siegel graduated Great Neck North High School in 1981. He was involved in athletics and was honored as the Most Valuable Player of the lacrosse team.

Mr. Siegel went to Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated cum laude in 1985. He was a member of the lacrosse team that won the First Southwest Championship of Lacrosse and was elected Team Captain for his senior year.

He went to Brooklyn Law School and worked at a medical malpractice defense firm during the course of his studies. Defending doctors and hospitals gave rise to the decision that his place in the legal community would be on the side of the injured individual. He has represented the injured victims of medical misadventures and general negligence continuously since graduating law school in 1988.

Mr. Siegel litigated his first jury trial the day after he was admitted to the bar and has been in the courtroom ever since. In 1995 he started his own practice partnering with a law school friend. Ever since, he has been the Senior Litigating Attorney in the firm. He has litigated to jury verdict multiple cases in his devoted and passionate manner successfully receiving large jury awards for the life altering injuries suffered by his clients. Mr. Siegel understands that to be a successful litigator, each trial requires full devotion of time and dedication of emotion to the client. It has been this formula, together with his passion for all things medical, that has made him such a courtroom success.

In 2007 a jury awarded $43,000,000.00 to his brain-damaged client as compensation for her conscious pain and suffering. This case was the 3rd largest medical malpractice verdict in the United States for any one individual as reported by the Jury Verdict Reporter. Mr. Siegel has had numerous jury verdicts eclipsing the million-dollar mark, but this one was especially significant as the insurance company made no offer of settlement during the trial.

In 2010, Andrew W. Siegel was selected as a "Superlawyer," which represents the top 5% of lawyers in the specialty of personal injury and medical malpractice practicing in the State of New York. This honor was a culmination of having litigated and won numerous "no pay" cases. A no pay case is where the plaintiff is forced to take a jury verdict because there is no offer of settlement. Such cases are particularly difficult to win as it is the opinion of the insurance company that their defense will be successful. This has not been the outcome when Mr. Siegel is on the other side.

Currently, Mr. Siegel is on the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
